An arcadia of intelligence for the 21st century – “The Connectionism”
We imagined a new library building in multi-media era of the 21st century as a life form, which connects “information” and “field”. This futuristic library will evoke “the connection” open to the surrounding general environment with its transparency.
The international research of “AI”, Artificial Intelligence, has been supporting rapid development of computer technology. Today it brings rapid development of recognition science in various fields. The keyword of this new method that differs from the existing classical method is “the Connectionism”. “The Connectionism” means a necessary organic and collaborative research method between completely different fields such as physics, mathematics, linguistics, neurophysiology, philosophy, etc.
The library space that traverses various disciplines should become the space for “information” and “field” of “the Connectionism”. In the library of the 21st century, the continuous conversation with natural environment will foster abundant accomplishment and infinitive information open to the world will keep stimulating clear and accurate mind.
